Intake Assessment:

In this initial 60 minute session, Dr. Koppa will evaluate current symptoms, personality traits, precipitating events, and family history related to difficulties of the client. A plan will be made with the client to best address the struggles presented.  If further treatment is needed, referrals for medical evaluations and assessments may be made at a later time.

Individual therapy:

Dr. Koppa meets one on one with the individual for a 45 or 60 minute session to work on previously discussed goals. The frequency and duration of therapy will be mutually decided on by therapist and client as treatment progresses.

Group Therapy:

Dr. Koppa has historically offered teen and college groups.  These are closed groups that are 4-5 months in length.  Group therapy offers a unique opportunity to experience growth, accountability, psychoeducation and social skills with peers.

Family therapy:

Dr. Koppa meets with the family for 60  minutes to help bring family members together to address shared concerns/goals. Family therapy is based on the belief that families are the greatest resource available to help individuals attempting to cope successfully with psychological or relationship difficulties.
